In collaboration with the Technical University of Ulm, EURODUR® is developing a new, hot-wire-supported MSG build-up welding process as part of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZEM) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. This innovative process significantly improves wear protection and enables build-up welding of thin-walled component structures. The kick-off meeting took place in February at the Ulm University of Applied Sciences and a first joint project meeting at EURODUR® on 30 June 2022. Promising successes are now emerging, which will be further substantiated by the end of the project in February 2024.
